The first wave of Boss Fight Studio’s Legends of Lucha Libre action figure line is expected to finally arrive in early 2021.
The first wave of premium figures — featuring Penta El Zero M and Rey Fenix — went up for pre-order in October 2019.
An email to Boss Fight returned the following reply that the line is in production but understandably delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“The premium Legends of Lucha Libre figures are in production and looking amazing! The pandemic did disrupt our original production schedules this year — our factory shut down for 5 months and they are still working with a skeleton crew of 20% of their staff to maintain local health regulations. We are currently expecting these figures to arrive at our warehouse early 2021. We’ll continue to share updates on our social media and in our newsletters.”
Earlier this month, Boss Fight shared a look at pre-production painted samples of the Lucha Brothers’ heads.
The first three waves of the premium line are already set. They include Konnan and Lady Maravilla in wave two and Tinieblas Jr. and Laredo Kid in wave three.
The first wave of Fanaticos figures — Pentagon, Rey Fenix, Juventud Guerrera and Taya Valkyrie — is now available for pre-order via Boss Fight. Each figure retails for $19.99.
Future waves of the Fanaticos line — which is the equivalent of the Mattel WWE basic line –will include Ultimo Dragon, Vampiro, Taurus and Hijo del Perro Aguayo. Those figures should be available in the second half of 2021, according to Masked Republic.
