Unmasked Rey Mysterio appears to be out of the second wave of WWE Monday Night Wars Elite figures.
Mattel WWE global brand marketing manager Steve Ozer shared studio shots of the set today, with an Elite version of the WCW Nitro stage Ultimate Edition Rey Mysterio replacing the unmasked Filthy Animals era Rey, which was revealed during the 2023 San Diego Comic-Con. The Mysterio attire is from his July 8, 1996, WCW Nitro debut.
No immediate word on the change from Mattel.
The rest of the lineup, including fake Diesel (September 30, 1996, Raw attire), Kevin Nash (June 10, 1996 Nitro), Triple H (April 5, 1999, Raw attire) and a build-a-figure Teddy Long, remains intact. Here’s a look at the figures.

Triple H

Teddy Long (build-a-figure)

Rey Mysterio Filthy Animals (canceled?)

Unfortunately I cant say I’m surprised, Rey has never been a fan of his time where he was forced to wrestle without his mask so I’m sure he doesn’t want there to be any merchandise, including action figures, of him without his mask on
