Mattel WWE Marketing Manager Q&A Rolls On
Mattel WWE marketing manager Steve Ozer answered a few more collector questions in his rolling Q&A. The latest:
- the release of Legends waves 15 and 16 are timed with Target’s quarterly planogram resets, although he didn’t know specifically which month;
- there will be reveals coming this month;
- plans for Elite 100 are in motion and work is underway, but there may not be news ready to go in time for San Diego Comic-Con.
- WWE Superstars Undertaker and Ultimate Warrior will have their own stock pegs at Walmart, replacing Hollywood Hogan and Ric Flair;
- more commentator figures are coming;
- E94 Collectors’ Edition British Bulldog almost ended up an Ultimate, but plans had to be changed. Davey Boy is a candidate for a future Ultimate;
- Eddie Guerrero almost ended up in the Ultimate line in Year 1 and Year 2. Ozer is determined to get him in the line;
- Mattel is actively working on the next crowdfunded project and it won’t be in the New Generation era;
- Chief Jay Strongbow will not be revisited in the future;
- Greatest Hits Elites are an additional wave within the Elite line, so they’ll live on the same peg at retail. Mattel is hoping to do one Greatest Hits wave a year;
- Finally, Ozer is determined to make a Zeus figure.

Amazon Ultimate Shawn Michaels to Ship August 3 …
The Amazon exclusive WWE Fan Takeover Ultimate Edition Shawn Michaels figure is slated to ship August 3, according to estimates from the e-retail giant. I’ll believe it when I get the confirmation, but that’s the word from Amazon.

Hasbro Pulse Shows Off Sgt. Slaughter GI Joe Classified Figure
The upcoming GI Joe Classified Sgt. Slaughter figure was featured in the latest Hasbro Pulse reveals video. Sarge isn’t a con exclusive but will be released around San Diego Comic-Con, as Adventures in Collecting pointed out. Watch Sarge’s segment here.

New Legends of Lucha Libre Figures Teased
More Legends of Lucha Libre figures are on the way. The line, by Boss Fight Studio, has been a bit of a slow burn. During this weekend’s Expo Lucha event, Boss Fight showed teases for upcoming figures in its premium and basic (Fanaticos) lines.
Coming up in wave three of the premium line are Taya Valkyrie, Vampiro, Tinieblas Jr., and Laredo Kid.

On the way in the Fanaticos line are Ultimo Dragon, Black Taurus, Vampiro, and Hijo Del Perro Aguayo.
Will be interesting to see what Boss Fight can do with these. Ultimo Dragon though is a must. I just wish they were better scaled with Mattel and Jazwares figures.

Ringside Top 10: Tony & JR Are Tops, But Here Comes Shotzi
Ringside AEW exclusives of Tony Schiavone and Jim Ross remained at the top of the top 10, but the first figure of Shotzi Blackheart (Elite 95) shot up to No. 3 on the list. E94 and E95 figures held the next four spots: British Bulldog, Bret Hart, Eddie Guerrero and Jimmy Uso. Ricky Starks (Unrivaled 9), CM Punk (Unmatched 4) and SummerSlam Randy Orton rounded out the top 10.

Young Bucks 2-Pack Leaked Image
The above image has been making the rounds on the internets. Is it legit? Only Jazwares knows for sure. But this looks like a pretty solid 2-pack. Amazon exclusive? Maybe? We’ll find out.

Major Bendies Wave 3 Lineup
Vampiro is coming to Major Bendies wave 3, including a bloody variant. Also in the lineup: Colt Cabana, Chelsea Green and Effy.
Court Bauer is still teasing MLW figures but nothing concrete yet.
