PowerTown has shared additional photos of the first wave of action figures from the upcoming 7-inch line.
Wave one features Magnum TA, Kerry Von Erich, Stan Hansen, Ted DiBiase, Verne Gagne, and Lou Thesz. The fledgling company has also shared additional details of the line:
“The figures are a high-impact ABS plastic and have 30 points of articulation, and their accessories are soft PVC, allowing for flexibility and removal.”
In the new photo renders show the back of entrance gear, such as “Verne” on the back of Gagne’s jacket, “Von Erich Country” on the back Kerry Von Erich’s jacket, and a skull and cross bones on the back of Stan Hansen’s vest.

The company also shared a digital render of the AWA World Heavyweight Championship title belt that will come with the Verne Gagne figure. PowerTown has been careful not to call the title the AWA championship. One early criticism of the championship is that it is too small. Hopefully, PowerTown can increase the size before production begins.

So when are we getting these figures?
PowerTown co-founder Steve Rosenthal recently appeared on The Fig Cave podcast with Phil Gentile and shared that the Kickstarter is expected to go live by July or August.
Rosenthal recently assured the Major Wrestling Figure Podcast that the figures will come out by the end of the year — something he previously told WrestlingFigureNews.com.
PowerTown’s timing may prove to be something great with news that Zac Efron is expected to star in a dramatized movie about the Von Erich family called The Iron Claw.
