AEW Unrivaled 4 Pics Coming Soon; Major Fest Starts January 24; Legends of Lucha Libre News and More

Pics of AEW Unrivaled Series 4 are coming soon, Jazwares partners Jeremy Padawer recently teased in a Twitter post.

The only figure confirmed in the fourth wave of AEW action figures is Sammy Guevara. One figure that isn’t likely to be in wave four, or five for that matter, is Britt Baker.

Padawer seemed to imply that Baker will receive a figure sometime after the fifth wave in the video above.

Major Wrestling Figure Podcast Announces Major Fest

 

The Major Wrestling Figure Podcast announced eight days of action figure content coming January 24-31.

As part of what they’re calling “Major Fest,” Matt Cardona, Brian Myers and Mark Sterling will interview Mattel WWE team members Steve Ozer and Robert Rudman on Tuesday, January 26, and Jazwares AEW lead designer Magic Olmos on Friday, January 29. Both interviews will take place on YouTube.

Additional details will be announced in the coming weeks.

Rush, Dragon Lee Sign Merchandise Deal with Masked Republic

 

ROH World Champion Rush and Dragon lee have signed merchandize deals with Masked Republic and Legends of Lucha Libre, which means action figures of the two lucha stars could be on the way soon.

The first wave of Boss Fight Studio’s Legends of Lucha Libre premium action figures — Penta El Zero M and Rey Fenix — are now in full production. Pre-orders for the figures ended January 15 and the figures are expected to be in collectors’ hands this spring. barring COVID-19 delays.

Future premium/collectors’ edition figures include Konnan and Lady Maravilla in wave two and Tinieblas Jr. and Laredo Kid in wave three.

Upcoming figures in the basic series include former WCW stars Juventud Guerrera, Ultimo Dragon and Vampiro, as well as Taurus, Hijo del Perro Aguayo, and Taya Valkyrie.

Forbidden Figurines Launches Belt Subscription Club

Custom belt maker Forbidden Figurines has launched a monthly custom best club.

For $20 per month, collectors can join the club, vote on one of four belts each month and receive the winning belt a month before it is available to the general public. International subscribers can join for an additional $11.95 to cover shipping.

Forbidden Figurines produces high-quality figure belt — many of which have not been produced by major toy companies.

The Fig Cave: A New Wrestling Figure Collecting Podcast

Phil Gentile, aka The Hot Take Kid and @IHateJJRedick, has launched a new wrestling figure podcast called The Fig Cave. Gentile hosts the show and through three episodes, he’s interviewed collector Kyle Peterson and AEW social media coordinator Dion Sekone-Fraser, as well as announced his top 10 wrestling figures of 2020.

WWE Retro Stars Announces 2020 Figures of the Year

The winners of WWE Retro Stars’ Figure of the Year Awards were recently revealed and the top WWE figure of 2020 as determined by a fan poll is the Target exclusive Legends Ultimate Warrior, followed by Elite 77 The Fiend.
