The wrestling figure community is full of talented artists, and Wrestling Figure News plans to highlight some of their work. One customizer that continually impresses is BEW Animations (aka Brian Nguyen).
BEW Animations recently won the championship in the “professional bracket” of the Custom Underground’s third season. BEW defeated eight other customizers from around the world in that division. Take a look at some of BEW’s creations from the competition to see why he won the crown.
Here’s a closer look at some of those customs, including his winning Will Ospreay.
BEW hasn’t slowed down since winning the Custom Underground crown either, adding an alternative Scarlett Bordeaux head sculpt.
The attention to detail is unreal.
BEW also showed off new head casts of Jungle Express members Luchasaurus, Jungle Boy and Marko Stunt., which are now available at FigureGiant.com.
BEW started customizing in 2015, and started an Instagram account to share WWE stop-motion animations.
“I was inspired by many of the greats to start customizing, trying to improve and be more creative in every work I put out because my goal was to become a top tier level customizer and inspire other collectors to pick up a brush as well,” he told me. “I do want to become a figure designer but I still have little steps to take because I’ve been doing this hobby traditionally long enough that I think it’s time for me to change it up. I need to dive more into digital sculpting now because I guess that’s how toy designers do it these days to produce a far more accurate model.”
