The latest round of pre-orders at Ringside Collectibles was met with more rancor than any in recent memory. The four pre-orders – two Ultimate Edition, one Elite and one Retro – were all “Greatest Hits” or “Best Of” waves, indicating possible re-releases.
It’s hard to know for sure though because we have no renders or no studio shots and only real-life photos tagged on the posts that have proven unreliable indicators of the actual figures’ attires.
Plus, we also have an apparent shift in the scope of the Coliseum Collection, going beyond the 1980s LJN-inspiration to inexplicably include wrestlers from eras beyond the original intent.
I’m admittedly late to posting these. If you’re ordering them, you’re ordering blind. Full disclosure, I didn’t order any of them.

This absolutely ruins the Coliseum Collection for me. It’s almost like nothing really means anything in these Mattel lines anymore. It really sucks when the creative conceit of a line (and especially one that celebrated a specific beloved era and talent pool in such a brilliant way) gets bastardized.
