August’s WWE.com Mattel gallery features the latest Top Picks Elite wave.
The clear highlight of this lineup is the Seth Rollins Hell in a Cell figure in which he trolled Cody Rhodes by dressing as Dusty Rhodes from his WWF polka dots days.
Reigns and Cena are straight up re-releases of recent Elite releases of both.

Chris Benoit and Jimmy “Superfly” need to get their names back and reintroduced. So do Crash Holly, Hardcore Holly, Test, Spike Dudley, Dynamite Kid, etc. Especially through merchandise, action figures, video games, etc. Nancy Benoit too. She and Chris both deserve to be in the Hall of Fame. Jimmy Snuka serves to be put back in the Hall of Fame.

Let’s just be real here: Jimmy Snuka and Chris Benoit, just like Chyna will never be inducted into the HoF as solo stars despite their numerous achievements. Sadly, contrary to popular belief, professional achievements do not overshadow their very sad controversial private lives.

Jimmy Snuka did not kill Nancy Argentino in 1983. It was that other guy; he was either a judge or a lawyer. Superfly was out when it happened, and when he got back to the hotel they were staying at, he found her laying there. He tried calling for help. Chris Benoit’s brain was like of an 80 something year old man. He was in the wrong state of mind, he just didn’t know what he was doing. Whatever happened in that house in June of 2007, let it go. We’re way passed all of that.

Umm, we don’t know what happened in the Benoit’s house that fateful evening, just like we don’t know what really happened the night that woman was killed and Snuka was too old/ill to provide an adequate defense for himself when it came time to face the events surrounding that death.
All in all, it doesn’t matter because the conversation stops being about their professional achievements and the focus is on what they allegedly did or did not do. Especially at an event that honors many, not just a single individual.
I’m happy you’re past those things, but many (particularly the actual victims and their families) may not be.

Aren’t people tired of Reigns yet? This is the same figure/sculpt with the same outfit. He started wearing red shoes a while ago and that hasn’t been reflected yet as well as him having the black belt too… smh
