Impact Wrestling’s figure line with Epic Toys has been canceled and pre-orders are being refunded.
Impact announced the cancellation today, but erroneously wrote that Asylum Wrestling Store was the manufacturer of the toy line. The manufacturer of the toys was actually Epic Toys/Chella Toys.
Impact issued the following statement:
“IMPACT Wrestling regretfully announces that its scheduled action figures, made by Asylum, did not meet IMPACT standards nor the outlined timeframe for release.
“Thus, IMPACT Wrestling is now in discussions with other action figure manufacturers for an upcoming release and no IMPACT Action Figures from Asylum will be produced.
“All pre-payments for the IMPACT Action Figures made by Asylum will be refunded in full. Refunds will start being processed at the end of August. Thank you for your understanding. “
Asylum issued its own statement, attempting to set the record straight:
“As you may have read, Impact has cancelled their action figure Line. These figures were to be made by a company that isn’t Impact nor Asylum.
“Their press release incorrectly stated that we were the manufacturer of them, which is clearly not true.
“We also apologize as we’ve known for some time that these were at the possibility of being cancelled for about a month or so and wanted to send refunds, but were asked to hold off until ‘official’”’ cancellation.
“We’ve issued all refunds from those who ordered from us.
“Thank you for your business and we hope this ordeal doesn’t affect everyone doing business with us in the future.”
The first series of Impact figures was supposed to include Eddie Edwards (Hard to Kill 2021), Deonna Purrazzo (Slammiversary 2020), Moose (Bound for Glory 2021) and Jordynne Grace (Slammiversary 2021) .
The figures retailed for $45 each

Thanks for the head’s up. I would’ve paid for Deonna and Jordynne so this is a bummer.

Very disappointing to hear, hopefully another company with a good track record picks up the license instead. The line was always gonna be a hard sell given how small of an impact (pun intended) the company of Impact has on the wrestling world nowadays, but still as a hardcore collector of all things wrestling, I was eager to see it come to fruition.

Agreed. Hopefully they land with someone with a good track record.

That’s because like 13 people ordered these. I’m sure they were fine and sales weren’t steller.

This was completely botched from the start. Only showing drawings. No painted prototypes. No communication on delays. Dated figure attires.
