The relaunch of WWE Retros was a success as the bundle of four figures sold out within five hours of going live.
The four figure set — “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, Mr. T, “Mean” Gene Okerlund, and “Cowboy” Bob Orton — retailed for $55 (plus shipping). They’re expected to ship before the end of March.
The success of this bundle ensures that more WWE Retro figures will be coming from Mattel. A second bundle is expected to be announced during WrestleMania weekend in early April.
Mattel WWE marketing manager Steve Ozer has said the line will primarily focus on legends characters, with the cutoff being either the Attitude Era or possibly dipping into Ruthless Aggression era.
