The Best WWE Elite Figures of 2024

2024 was the year of Hulk Hogan figures. It was also the return of CM Punk to the Elite line. There were tons of re-release figures but also some must-have, first-time-in-the-line figures.

The following list is my list of the best figures of 2024. As always, this is my list. Yours is probably much different. What did I snub? Let me know in the comments.

Honorable Mention: Iron Sheik – Legends (Target Exclusive)

Mattel started 2024 strong with this updated Iron Sheik figure. A love letter to the night he lost the championship to Hulk Hogan in 1984, the figure looks great, Jabroni. Respect to the Iron Sheik.

Honorable Mention: Ultimate Warrior – Monday Night War (Walmart Exclusive)

The Monday Night War WCW debut Ultimate Warrior was salvaged as an Elite from the failed Monday Nitro Ultimate Edition crowdfund. The duster and facepaint both looked good, although the pose-ability of the figure is a work in progress.

Honorable Mention: Rhea Ripley – Elite 110

The best Rhea Ripley figure to date. That’s about to change with the release of the Ultimate Edition and the Elite 117. Mattel updated Rhea’s arms and torso for this one, and the white attire is clean. Overall, a glow-up from previous Rhea figures.

Honorable Mention: Syxx – Monday Night War Chase (Walmart Exclusive)

An upgrade over the original Flashback Elite, this Syxx has his best head sculpt yet. I prefer the chase version with the “Thug” singlet, but both look good.

10. Three Faces of Foley 3-Pack (Ringside Exclusive)

The Ringside 3-pack was a nice homage to the Jakks bone crushing action line. It also gave us an early days WCW Cactus Jack. The issues with the pack were Foley was too buff. Mattel needs a new arm mold for guys like Foley who weren’t as jacked and defined as this figure would have you believe. Still, one of the better box sets of the year and great for collectors who autograph hunt.

9. Sandman – Elite 111

The first Elite figure of the Sandman goes hard, with ECW shirt, barbed wire and a beer can. The head sculpt is passable, but the skull sweatpants attire is pretty awesome (and the USA chase is a nice alternative). But I wish the sculpt had a cigarette dangling out of his mouth and blood dripping from his forehead from smashing that beer on his dome. Not something you’ll get at mass retail.

8. Diamond Dallas Page – Monday Night War (Walmart Exclusive)

Finally, DDP in jeans made it into the Elite line. Another Ultimate figure from the Nitro crowdfund resurrected as an Elite. The legs are super stiff, making him a bit had to pose around. But this is how I imagine WCW era DDP.

7. CM Punk – Defining Moments (Ringside Exclusive)

“Pipe bomb” CM Punk finally made it into the Elite line. Not that the parts weren’t already out there for customs but Ringside delivered the genuine article in its exclusive line.

The figure isn’t without flaws in construction – “drug free” missing on his hands, among them – but this was the definition of what the Defining Moments line should be.

6. Shinsuke Nakamura – Elite 109 (Chase)

The Elite 109 Nakamura head sculpt was his best yet. The red striped attire from his match with the Great Muta in Noah also makes this a special figure. This is one of those figures that in-hand just feel great.

5. Captain Lou – Legends (Target Exclusive)

It’s hard to believe it took 14 years to get Captain Lou in the line. But this was a Golden Era must-have. Mattel nailed this one.

4. Ilja Dragunov – Elite 114

An upgrade over the Elite 96. This is a buy-it and sell the old figure. Of course Mattel’s soft goods are top notch but this robe is perfection. The updated look and NXT championship made this the best mainline Elite of the year.

3. Harley Race – Legends of the Territory Era (Mattel Creations)

One of the biggest surprises of the year was NWA-era “Handsome” Harley Race receiving an Elite figure with the “territory belt,” which looks a lot like the NWA 10 pounds of gold. Even for a pretty plain looking figure, Harley looks great and his soft goods robe evokes Starrcade ’83: A Flair for the Gold nostalgia.

2. Kurt Angle – Legends (Target Exclusive)

Oh, it’s true. This Kurt Angle figure was originally supposed to be in the Best of the Attitude Era Elite Amazon exclusive line, but never made it out.

Thankfully, Mattel revisited it a with all the modern upgrades for the Target Legends line. This figure feels great in-hand, poses exceptionally well and is up there with the Team Angle Elite figure as best attired Angle.

1. Hollywood Hogan – 40th Anniversary of Hulkamania (Target Exclusive)

2024 was the year of Hulk Hogan figures and the Target exclusive 40th Anniversary of Hulkamania “Hollywood” Hogan was the best of the bunch. Hogan got his roasted tan, a much overdue change. This was also a unique attire compared to previous nWo Hogans, with the “Hollywood Rules” cloth cutoff shirt.

This is a figure you put at the front of your WCW shelf.

    1. A very solid top 10 list indeed. Sheik/Angle/Ripley & Dragunov are in mine so happy to see some reputable had the same in mind. Many of the influencers had dreadful lists.
