2024 was one of the biggest years for the Jazwares AEW line, with 85 releases, second only to 2022. That cuts across big-box retailers and niche online retailers. But still, it was a good comeback year after a slight slowdown in 2023 (56 releases).
So here is my list of the best figures of the year, starting with some honorable mentions. (Note: This is my list. Yours probably differs, and I’d love to hear about it in the comments.)
Honorable Mention: Kenny Omega – AEW Supreme (San-Diego Comic Con Exclusive)

Kenny Omega Supreme figures have next-level articulation. The torso on the Comic-Con exclusive moves so easily and the attire choice was perfect for Comic-Con with an homage to Captain America.
It’s a nice figure, just missing the cut for my top 10 (likely due to us already having two Supremes releases of Omega).
Honorable Mention: Sting – AEW Supreme (Walmart Exclusive)

The long-awaited Supreme Sting figure came packed with value and finally a singlet torso. However, in-hand, the figure just feels off to me. The arms are super loose and the torso a little clunky.
Honorable Mention: The Devil – AEW Unrivaled 15

The Devil storyline may have been cursed but the timing of this figure could not have been better. The Devil mask head sculpt looks great and the casino ladder match poker chip was a quality accessory. The figure body itself was a bit loose, especially the feet. Ultimately, that’s why this is an honorable mention.
Honorable Mention: The Hardy Boyz 2-pack (Amazon Exclusive)

The Hardy Boyz Amazon 2-pack was a set collectors weren’t sure would be released. Ultimately, it did and it’s a beaut. This super colorful set brings it with a painted Jeff Hardy head, mesh shirt with cloth towel and a Matt Hardy attire that pops.
Honorable Mention: MJF (Target Exclusive)

The soft goods robe alone made this a must-snag pack (MJF came with Jon Moxley, who was heavily stained by the soft goods Blackpool Combat Club hoodie).
Jazwares took its soft goods to another level though with this robe. Swap on the Devil mask head and you have yourself the perfect MJF entrance figure. As a standalone figure without the fixup, the robe is the only thing that matters.
Honorable Mention: The Young Bucks (Walmart Exclusive)

The deco hits on the Walmart exclusive Young Bucks were off the charts. These figures were works of art. The bummer is these weren’t Supremes given they were entrance gear only Bucks.
10. The Acclaimed (Ringside Exclusive)

Everyone loves the Acclaimed. Or they did. (Bowens, I still love you.) This Ringside exclusive 3-pack is one of the best packages Jazwares has ever released. It’s also one of the best of 2024. This Ringisde exclusive featured the first ever Anthony Bowens and Max Caster figures, as well as the first Billy Gunn.
Loaded with soft goods (that Caster jersey is nice) and accessories (so are the headphone and hat), it’s possibly one of the most underrated sets of the year. The likenesses of Caster and Bowens are solid; Billy Gunn has a bit of Lex Luger look. Plus, he’s huge, which is pretty accurate.
9. Adam Copeland – AEW Unmatched 10

Jazwares fast-tracked the Rated R Superstar into the line and rightfully so. One of the biggest critiques of Jazwares has been the slowness to get new characters into the line.
Cope’s first AEW figure hopefully marks a turning point in getting new blood into the line faster. The figure itself has a decent likeness and a great attire but is a bit too tall.
8. Swerve Strickland – AEW Unrivaled 17

The start of what will hopefully be many more Swerve figures in the future. This look was a bit dated but gave collectors one of the hottest wrestlers going today. Super pose-able and a pretty good likeness make this a must-have Swerve figure.
7. Jeff Jarrett (Ringside Exclusive)

Jazwares finally pulled off what no other modern-scale figure maker has yet done – release a Jeff Jarrett figure. This Double J looked good and came with a nice cloth entrance jacket. It’s not without issues – two-toned torso, crumbling guitar – but this was a long-awaited figure for collectors to finally cross off their lists.
6. Konosuke Takeshita (Ringside Exclusive)

The first figure of Takeshita was a Ringside exclusive. The likeness is spot on and the soft goods entrance coat is high quality. The only thing missing is his devil mask.
Good on Jazwares to make this a heel version of Takeshita, The only knock on the figure for me is the height (he’s a bit tall). Otherwise, another knockout Ringside exclusive.
5. “Timeless” Toni Storm (Ringside Exclusive)

“Timeless” Toni Storm was another hit for Ringside. The black-and-white Hollywood starlet look was a unique one that works given Storm’s past presentation. The figure is essentially a shrunken down version of “Timeless” Toni, and it also comes with a shoe. Just perfect.
4. Malakai Black Supreme (Jazwares Vault)

Jazwares started hot on the Vault with the Malakai Black Supreme figure. The second Supreme of Black sold out, This figure came packed with accessories, face-painted heads and masked heads, looking straight out of Yellowjackets.
This was a solid plus-up over the previous Supreme figure and an upgrade over the regular series release.
3. Danhausen Ring of Honor (Jazwares Vault)

When I think of Danhausen, I think of this look. The soft goods, wired cape was the best soft goods of the year. Throw in the jar of teeth accessory and Mel Coleman’s artwork on the packaging, and this figure goes to another level.
2. “Switchblade” Jay White (Ringside Exclusive)

Jay White didn’t reach the level of Kenny Omega customs, but this was one of the most sought after first-time figures of the year. And it didn’t disappoint. The goatee does look a bit strange, but the slashes in the pants, soft good coat and overall construction of the figure were spot on.
The Ringside exclusive AEW figures really didn’t miss in 2024.
1. Brody King – Blood & Guts (Ringside Exclusive)

The tattoo detail on Brody King’s AEW figures is unreal. Originally, I would have said the AEW Unmatched 8 figure would have been the best of the year, but the Blood & Guts and Walmart exclusive figures pose much smoother than the mainline version. I’m not sure why that would be but the arms on the Unmatched 8 were very stiff and I had one break.
The Blood & Guts and Walmart exclusives were both buttery smooth. I give the nod to the Ringside exclusive version due to the blood, which is something special to the Jazwares line that the Mattel WWE hasn’t touched on.
This Brody is a great figure. Throw in the Darby Allin figure and it’s a must-buy.

And here’s the Walmart exclusive.
