The Thursday of Comic-Con week is going to be packed for wrestling fans.
As expected, the annual Mattel WWE Elite Squad panel is set to take place on Thursday, July 25, from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. PT in Room 6A. No word yet on which WWE stars will take part in this year’s panel, but the Mattel design team will be there in force showing off upcoming figures.
Also announced for Thursday is an AEW panel featuring Swerve Strickland, “Timeless” Toni Storm, Will Ospreay, Orange Cassidy, Britt Baker and Darby Allin. The panel will take place at 3:30 p.m. PT in Room 6BCF. This is not labeled as an AEW/Jazwares panel, so I wouldn’t expect figure reveals. There’s no word yet on Jazwares’ panel.
Orange Cassidy will have a busy Thursday. Cassidy and Willow Nightingale will be wrestling Rachel and Mr. Frog in the AEW x Adult Swim Battle for the Booty tournament. The event takes place at 7:30 p.m. PT at 5th Avenue Landing and Convention Way, behind the convention center. In another match, Johnny TV and Taya Valkyrie will take on Fang and Meatwad.
Room 6A will be a busy spot for wrestling fans with Dave Batista and Ronda Rousey taking part in a panel in the room starting at 10 a.m. PT.
Finally, Masked Republic and Headlocked Comics will host a panel from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. PT in Room 10. The panel will feature Danhausen, Shelton Benjamin, Headlocked creator Michael Kingston, Masked Republic COO & executive producer Kevin Kleinrock, showrunner Adair Cole and video game producer Dorian Richard.
