WWE Ultimate Edition 20 will feature a yet-to-be-named Greatest Hits figure in place of the late Bray Wyatt.
Mattel WWE global brand marketing manager Steve Ozer wrote on the WrestlingFigs.com forum: “We’ve added a Greatest Hits Ultimate as a replacement. We had to go with a figure with existing tooling due to the timing. More to come.”
Asked why a re-release as opposed to a repaint, Ozer wrote: “If there was time, we would have done that in this case. We do need to be mindful of product arriving on time for retailer needs, planogram resets, etc.
“New deco would require deco creation, approvals, packaging creation, and full development to ensure it’s produced accurately; essentially almost full time table sans new sculpts and tooling to create and produce.”
Earlier this month, Mattel announced Wyatt action figures would be paused in order to give the wrestling star’s family space following his death in August.
“We’ll be offering the performer’s family some space at this time, but in partnership with WWE, we look forward to celebrating this amazing Superstar and his legacy in future lines to come,” Mattel wrote at the time.
Ultimate 20 is slated to feature Asuka and Roman Reigns.

Like I said before. There will be hell to pay. Bray Wyatt being removed is not right. It’s treason and they know it.
