This Week in Wrestling Figures: PowerTown Pre-Order Week & Scale Comparisons; More on Walmart Cody Supreme; & Chella Update

PowerTown Pre-Order Week is Here

The wait to order the first series of PowerTown figures is almost over. Pre-orders for the first wave of legendary wrestling characters — Verne Gagne, Magnum TA, Lou Thesz, Kerry Von Erich, Stan Hansen and Bruiser Brody — will go live Friday, September 16; bookmark this link. Individual figures cost $45 but bundles will also be offered.

PowerTown offered a scale comparison of its first six figures (see above) so you can get an idea of just how tall they’l be in comparison to Mattel WWE and Jazwares AEW figures.

PowerTown also previewed how Von Erich will look in package, although this is subject to change.

These figures definitely have exceeded expectations in the renders so far. If they look this good in hand, PowerTown has something good going on.

Chella Dynamite Kid Update

Speaking of long-awaited figures, Chella Toys’ first 7-inch, Elite-style Dynamite Kid action figure is inching closer to release. So what’s the latest on the other half of the British Bulldogs? From Chella:

“Uncensored Dynamite Kid figures are 100% assembled. The factory is scheduled to be boxing the figures over the next couple weeks, and then into their shipping cases!”

Also of note, there seems to be a Dynamite Kid Uncensored variant.

Chella also noted that the 7-inch Sabu figure is “still in development and tentatively scheduled for first quarter 2023 release.”

Lots more Chella updates in this post:

This is another one that I can’t wait to see how it looks in hand.

More Walmart Exclusive AEW Supreme Cody Pics Emerge

Additional images of the Walmart exclusive AEW Supreme Cody Rhodes figure have emerged. The photos show a better look at trunks included with the figure, the shirts and other accessories. Take a look. Not sure where these originated, but I saw them via Alex West Collects.

Clearly Walmart will be getting the Supreme line. Going to be great seeing these on shelves.

Ringside Top 10: Good Ol’ JR

Ringside is posting its 10 best-sellers list again after it seems like a few months off. The latest top 10 is AEW heavy, following All Out weekend. Leading the way: Good Ol’ Jim Ross, whose first AEW figure is in stock now at Ringside ($29.99). No. 2 is Excalibur, who just went up for pre-order.
